It's been WAY too long

This evening, Mr. and Mrs. Speakeasy stepped out of the kinder-jail for a couple hours to see what it's like to live as adults again. No hurrying around, no always checking the phone, no peeking at the watches. We put the kids to bed, and left. Together. Dressed as adults. For dinner.

Yeah, "dinner".

We went to Caffe Demitre's, which for those of you who don't know, is known for their ice cream. Well, waffles, crepes and banana splits too. It's a dessert joint.

Man was it good.

Boy was I wired after.

I didn't get to bed until almost 2am. Sure I also cleaned up some of the house and did more research towards my assignment (now 4 days past due) and case study (due next week), but still it was worth it.

It was so much fun, I want to do it again. Going out with the wife. Not the dessert place. That place is NOT going to help my new healthier eating lifestyle.

yes, it does feel nice once in a while to get some time.... some non children time... before the trip I had forgotten how good that feels... now I am back, and wondering did I always work this hard to keep things clean or was I soo in the mode that I lost track of all things non kid related...
